    Tao Porchon-Lynch

Naked Dragon is delighted to be hosting Tao’s
    FIRST EVER UK APPEARANCE!

Accompanied by the Magical Sounds of the Legendary
    Tim Wheater

93 Year-Old Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch is living proof that a regular yoga practice, combined with a positive outlook on life may well be the key to aging well.

This remarkable woman has been involved with yoga since her childhood in India and has been teaching the subject for 42 years.

Tao believes that the body can reycle itself and following hip replacement surgery a  number of years ago, her doctors warned her that she might not be able move like she used to. Thanking them for their advice, she didn’t let that stop her yoga practice, and at the grand young age of 84, she also became a competitive ballroom dancer!

Tao says “Yoga is the dance of life within us. If I can teach yoga and do a good job, I can help others as much as I can help myself. I have got as much from my students as they have from me. I consider them to be my jewels. Inside of me is the creation of life, and if I can awaken that inside of me, there is nothing I cannot do! I’m going to dance and do yoga for as long as I live.”

Watch her in action, and be inspired!

Yogis in India have known for centuries about the anti-aging benefits of yoga and now, modern-day researchers are beginning to understand the science behind yoga’s power to effectively reverse the signs of aging.

Research has shown that regular practice of “moving meditations” like yoga and tai chi, can help combat stress, keep your mind sharp, help you sleep better, boost your immune system, improve strength and balance and leave you glowing from the inside out.

How does yoga do all of this? Well, studies have shown that the inner transformation that yoga promotes actually changes the body’s system as a whole, slowing down of the aging process on a biochemical level. Yoga seems to help regulate the endocrine system, which leads to better overall hormonal balance in the body, and the “switching off” of genes that make us age. Yoga helps to reduce levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, which has been implicated as a major underlying cause of disease and aging.

Tao is a huge inspiration to many thousands of people and was recently invited to join the Newark Peace Summit to promote world peace, where she shared the stage with some of the world’s foremost inspirational leaders, including: HH the Dalai Lama, Dr.Deepak Chopra and Marianne Williamson.
